November 20: Children’s Hour
Through its businesses and activities, Schneider Electric supports the development of the countries in which it operates. Lending a helping hand to disadvantaged children and young people is a natural extension of this commitment for a Company like ours, which prides itself on building close ties with the local community. Fifty of our subsidiaries around the world have been participating enthusiastically in initiatives related to theChildren’s Hour program since it began on January 19.
In addition, on International Child Day (November 20), each Schneider Electric employee will have the opportunity to contribute one hour of his or her annual wages to Children’s Hour, thereby pushing back the limits of neglect and despair. The Schneider Electric Youth Opportunities Foundation has already pledged to donate one hour of wages for the Company’s entire workforce (67,500 people).
