    Schneider has won a new multi-million dollar (AUS$5 million) contract for the supply and installation of switchgear and transformers to a South-East Asian power project this time in Singapore.
    The Tuas II combined cycle plant is an extension of an existing plant at Tuas, owned by Tuas Power Pte.
    Schneider Electric has been contracted by Black and Veatch International, a USA-based company which is handling the complete mechanical and electrical contract for the owner’s engineer, Singapore-based Development Resources Private Limited.
    One of the largest utility design engineering companies in the world, Black and Veatch has awarded Schneider the supply, design and installation of 400V main switchboards and 6.6/0.415kV transformers.
    The 10 main LV distribution switchboards incorporates withdrawable Masterpact and withdrawable NS MCCBs. The boards were manufactured in Australia. The power station is scheduled to go online in two stages in July and October 2001.
